Samurai Cleaner ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Samurai Cleaner mobile game for iOS and the website at samuraicleaner.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Summary

We do not sell your personal data. Samurai Cleaner is free to play and supported by ads served through Google AdMob. Core gameplay data (scores, settings) is stored locally on your device. To show ads and, where you allow it, to measure and personalize them, our advertising partner (Google) may collect device and usage information as described below. Optional Game Center features are handled by Apple.

2. Information we collect

We may collect or process the following:

• Local game data. High scores, sound/music/haptics preferences, and similar settings are saved on your device using Apple's standard storage (e.g., UserDefaults). This data never leaves your device unless you back up your device through iCloud or other Apple services.
• Advertising data (via Google AdMob). To deliver ads (including interstitial and optional rewarded ads), our advertising partner Google may collect and process information such as device identifiers (including the Identifier for Advertisers, or IDFA, when you permit tracking), a non-resettable device/installation identifier, IP address, coarse/approximate location derived from IP, device and operating-system information, and ad-interaction data (such as ads shown, taps, and rewards earned). This is used to serve, cap, measure, and—only with your permission—personalize ads, and to detect invalid activity and fraud. See Section 6 for your choices.
• Game Center (optional). If you sign in to Game Center, Apple may process your player ID, display name, and leaderboard scores according to Apple's Privacy Policy. We submit scores to Game Center leaderboards but do not receive your Apple ID or email address.
• Website analytics. Our marketing site at samuraicleaner.com may use basic, privacy-focused hosting logs (e.g., Vercel) such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited. We do not run third-party advertising or tracking pixels on the website itself.
• Contact form. If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, and message so we can respond. Messages are delivered to our support inbox and retained only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry.

3. Information we do not collect

We do not collect:

• Account registration or passwords (there is no login in the app)
• Precise (GPS-level) location data
• Contacts, photos, or microphone access
• Payment information (the app is free; no in-app purchases)
• First-party analytics SDKs such as Firebase or Facebook in the app

Note: while we do not run our own analytics SDK, the Google AdMob advertising SDK is integrated in the app and collects the advertising data described in Section 2.

4. How we use information

We use information only to:

• Provide and improve the game experience
• Display and measure ads, and provide optional rewarded-ad features
• Display leaderboard rankings via Game Center
• Respond to support requests
• Maintain and secure our website
• Comply with legal obligations

5. Sharing of information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only:

• With Google, which provides advertising through AdMob and processes the advertising data in Section 2. Google's use of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
• With Apple when you use Game Center (subject to Apple's policies)
• With service providers who host our website (e.g., Vercel), bound by confidentiality
• When required by law or to protect our legal rights

6. Advertising and your choices

Samurai Cleaner shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. You have meaningful control over ad tracking and personalization:

• App Tracking Transparency (ATT). On first launch the app asks for your permission before tracking you across other companies' apps and websites (which includes use of the IDFA). If you decline, ads are still shown but are non-personalized. You can change this anytime in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
• EU/UK/EEA consent. Where required by law, we use Google's consent management (UMP) to ask for your consent before personalized ads are served. You can revisit your choices at any time from the Privacy options button in the app's Settings.
• Limit Ad Tracking. You can further limit ad personalization through your device settings at any time.

7. Data retention

Local game data remains on your device until you delete the app or reset your device. Advertising data is retained by Google according to its own retention policies. Messages sent through our contact form are retained only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry. Server logs for the website are retained according to our hosting provider's default retention period (typically 30 days or less).

8. Children's privacy

Samurai Cleaner is rated 4+ and uses cartoon, family-friendly visuals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not direct the app primarily to children. Ads shown in the app are subject to Google's policies and applicable family/child-directed advertising rules. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, use our contact form and we will delete it promptly.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based (including ad consent)
• Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

To exercise these rights, use our contact form. Deleting the app removes locally stored game data from your device.

10. International users

Our website may be accessed globally. If you use the app or site from outside the United States, you agree that information may be processed in the United States or wherever our service providers operate.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app or website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
